I (Marion David) received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Virginia in 1994. After an additonal 2 years of post-doctoral training at Johns Hopkins, I embarked on a career devoted to research and clinical practice. 

After 26 years of experience, I have come to believe that accurate, thorough assessment is critical to fully understanding and therefore effectively helping a child to truly thrive. In my practice, I listen carefully to the child, the family, the child's educators, and the child's medical providers, reviewing medical and educational records. I then supplement this information with results of carefully selected assessment tools to arrive at a detailed understanding of your child's social, emotional, cognitive, and developmental strengths and weaknesses. Equipped with a detailed understanding of your child, I work with you, your child, your child's teachers, and your child's doctor to either provide or secure the services (therapeutic, educational, and medical) that your child needs to achieve his or her full potential.
